BIOGRAPHY
Jay Batten, BSEE

Jay Batten, founder of NEW Tech, LLC, a technology service company, with over 35 years of experience in Application, Design, Manufacturing, and Research & Development Engineering; Sales & Marketing, Value Engineering and corporate management in automotive, commercial vehicle, personal care, appliance, computer peripheral, industrial, and aerospace markets.

After five years as a researcher at Sandia Labs in Albuquerque,  NM, Jay spent the next ten years turning around troubled start-ups, growing them from $1-2 million in annual sales to $30-50 million, before applying his many ‘Lessons Learned’ with larger corporate entities.

He served as Chief Engineer for GM and concluded his career at spin-off Delphi Corporation, a multi-billion dollar corporation, as the Corporate Government Contracts Officer. Previous Delphi experiences include 10 years of progressively responsible management positions involving product, processes, and business management.  Jay lead three Delphi ‘Centers of Excellence’ and held positions of Chief Engineer for both Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Composite groups.

Jay also held the positions of Chief Engineer and Operations Manager for Dana Corporation, developing advanced actuator technology products and launching a green field manufacturing facility in Chihuahua, Mexico as well as managing operations in Bangkok, Thailand.

Jay held the position of Vice President of Engineering for the international multi-billion dollar NMB Corporation, as well as the position of Chief Engineer for two small german start-up firms.

Jay has served VP of Operations and as a board member for the National Composite Center and is internationally recognized in his fields of expertise.  He has spent considerable time over seas, throughout Europe and Asia.  Jay has written or co-written numerous papers and patents. 

Jay credits the extensive utilization Value Management techniques for his his many career successes.  He is now allocating a portion of his time to share his vast experience in limited workshops.
